Residential Building:

Thompson Residence, Westport, MA

Located in the charming area of Westport known as Acoaxet Village a small ranch was demolished to prepare for construction of a new three bedroom home with stunning views of Westport’s Elephant Rock Beach.

The new home, which is often referenced to as an “upside down” living style refers to the sleeping quarters being on the bottom floor and the living and entertaining spaces on the upper floor to take advantage of the beautiful views.

This custom built home has hardwood floors throughout, exposed beams with vaulted ceilings in living room, custom cabinets with granite tops.  One feature of the home which really stands out is the custom hand crafted staircase from the first floor to the second.  There is also a spiral staircase from the second floor to the look-out tower area which offers spectacular views of the ocean.

This home was constructed with durable and sustainable materials.  The home was designed with a smart framing philosophy and to allow passive solar heat gain in winter.  Components of the house include open cell foam insulation and non-toxic finishes.

This home is LEED Certified due to its Green Construction Technology Strategies and Solutions.

The homeowners have commented on how amazed they are at the minimal heating costs.

Another example of Premier’s commitment to “Superior Quality and Performance”.
